 Know The Signs...

  • A swellling, lump or thickness in the neck or face
  • A persistent sore throat
  • Pain or weakness in the face
  • A mouth sore that bleeds easily or does not heal within a few days
  • A red or white patch on the gums, tongue or cheek lining
  • Mouth or tongue numbness
  • Persistent hoarseness or vocal changes
  • Chewing or swallowing difficulties
  • Blood in the sputum
  • Frequent nosebleeds
  • Chronic nasal congestion or sinus infections
  • Loose teeth or dentures that no longer fit well
  • Ear pain

Sometimes, people with head and neck cancer do not have any of the symptoms and signs described above. Additionally, these symptoms may also be causd by other less serious conditions. It is important to always check with a doctor or dentist about any of these symptoms.
